Brief history

Sunset Painting is a third generation professional painting firm that started in Napa, CA and moved to the Sacramento region in the 1950’s.   Over the decades Sunset Painting has also been involved in the complimentary trades of sheet rock & texturing and wallpaper hanging. When the previous owner, Ronald H. Sherwood, was looking to stream line the company he decided to move forward with the trade he felt they excelled at best and that was painting.  His son, Ronald O. Sherwood (3^rd generation) took over the business in 1995. Ron continued in his dad’s footsteps and has run a successful and profitable business for the last 20 years.  As with any business that survives for 50+ years changes are inevitable. Over the last few year we have added complimentary services to our core business of painting. We now offer anti-graffiti coatings, cabinet finishing, elastomeric coatings, pressure washing, wallpaper removal, water proofing and wood staining.

Sunset Painting continues to be a local leader in the industry utilizing state of the art products, processes and applications to ensure our clients receive the highest level of quality available.
